I first developed my love of photography from my father while growing up in and around Detroit. As well as shooting lots of Black & White photos in order to document his young family’s life, Dad would also alternate between filming Home Movies [Video] and shooting Kodachrome slides.

Here I am with his trusty “Wind Up” Kodak 8mm film camera.

Though I primarily used video cameras from 1987 through 1994, I did sporadically use a 35mm Yashica film camera starting in 1989. The best thing I learned from using that camera was how to shoot Kodachrome Slides, just like Dad used to do!

Things really changed with the advent of Digital Cameras in the early 2000’s, of which I certainly had my share. I got my first “Mirrorless” camera in 2019 and haven’t look back since… unless you count putting this whole web site thing together.
